Rademan Studios ("I," "me," or "my") is the trading name of Reinier Rademan, a sole proprietor digital consultancy based in Pretoria, South Africa. I take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information I collect through this website (rademanstudios.co.za), how I use it, how it may be shared with advertising platforms, and what your rights are under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). The short version: I collect information to respond to enquiries, deliver services, and run marketing campaigns. Some of that data may be used for targeted advertising on platforms like Meta and Google. I don't sell your data to third parties. You can opt out at any time.
1. Who is responsible for your information?
The responsible party, as defined by POPIA, is:
Reinier Rademan Trading as Rademan Studios Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa hello@rademanstudios.co.za (+27) 082 783 1380
2. What information I collect
Information you give me directly
When you contact me through the website, fill in a form, request a quote, subscribe to a newsletter, or engage my services, I may collect:
Your name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, and any details you include in your message or project brief.
Information collected through lead generation forms
If you complete a lead generation form on this website or on a landing page operated by Rademan Studios, I collect the information you submit — typically your name, email address, phone number, and company name. By submitting a lead generation form, you consent to your information being used for the purposes described in this policy, including marketing communication and targeted advertising.
Information collected automatically
When you visit this website, certain non-personal information is collected automatically, including:
Your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, time spent on the site, and referring URL. This data is collected through cookies, tracking pixels, and analytics tools — including Meta Pixel and Google Analytics — to help me understand how the site is used, measure advertising performance, and deliver relevant marketing.
3. How I use your information
I use the information I collect to:
Respond to your enquiry or request. Deliver the services you've engaged me for. Send you relevant follow-up communication related to our work together. Send you marketing communication about services, insights, or offers from Rademan Studios where you have opted in or where I have a legitimate interest in doing so. Create targeted advertising audiences on third-party platforms (see Section 5 below).
Measure and improve advertising and marketing performance. Improve the website experience based on usage data. Comply with legal obligations where required.
4. Who I share your information with
I don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
I may share your information with the following categories of third parties, strictly for the purposes described in this policy:
Advertising platforms. I upload personal information — including email addresses and phone numbers — to Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google Ads for the purpose of creating custom audiences, lookalike audiences, and retargeting campaigns. These platforms match your data against their user databases to serve relevant advertising. This data is transmitted in hashed (encrypted) form where supported by the platform. Meta and Google process this data under their own privacy policies and terms of service.
Service providers. I may share limited information with trusted third-party providers who help me operate this website, manage email communication, or deliver services — for example, hosting providers, CRM platforms, email marketing tools, and analytics platforms. These providers are only given access to the information they need to perform their function and are required to handle it securely.
Legal obligations. I may disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect my rights, safety, or property.
5. Lead generation and targeted advertising
This section explains how your data may be used for lead generation and digital advertising purposes.
What this means in plain language
When you submit your information through a form on this website or a Rademan® Studios landing page, that information may be used to market to you — both directly (via email or phone) and indirectly (via targeted ads on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Google).
I may also upload your contact information to Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads to create custom audiences. This allows me to show relevant advertising to people who have already interacted with Rademan® Studios, and to find new audiences with similar profiles (lookalike or similar audiences).
Legal basis under POPIA
I process your personal information for marketing and advertising purposes based on one or more of the following legal grounds:
Consent. Where you have submitted a lead generation form or opted into marketing communication, you have given your consent for your information to be used for the purposes described in this policy, including upload to advertising platforms.
Legitimate interest. Where I have an existing relationship with you — for example, you are a current or former client — I may use your information for direct marketing of similar services, provided you have not opted out.
What data is uploaded to advertising platforms
The data uploaded may include your name, email address, phone number, and in some cases your company name or job title. Where supported by the platform, this data is hashed (converted into an encrypted format) before upload, meaning the platforms receive a coded version of your information rather than the raw data.
Your right to opt out
You have the right to opt out of having your information used for marketing or uploaded to advertising platforms at any time. To do so, contact me at hello@rademanstudios.co.za or use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. I will action your request within a reasonable timeframe. Opting out of marketing will not affect any services I'm currently delivering to you.
6. Cookies and tracking technologies
This website uses cookies, tracking pixels, and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the site, to measure advertising effectiveness, and to deliver relevant marketing.
Essential cookies are necessary for the site to function properly.
Analytics cookies (including Google Analytics) help me understand traffic patterns, user behaviour, and site performance.
Advertising cookies and pixels (including Meta Pixel and Google Ads tags) allow me to track conversions, build retargeting audiences, and measure the performance of advertising campaigns. These tools may collect information about your browsing behaviour on this site and share it with the respective advertising platforms.
You can disable cookies through your browser settings. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising through the following links:
Meta: www.facebook.com/adpreferences Google: adssettings.google.com
Some features of the site may not function as intended if cookies are disabled.
7. How I protect your information
I take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Where data is uploaded to advertising platforms, I use hashed transmission methods where supported. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. How long I keep your information
I retain personal information only for as long as it's needed to fulfil the purpose it was collected for, or as required by law.
Enquiry data is typically retained for 12 months.
Lead generation data is retained for the duration of active marketing campaigns and for up to 24 months after your last interaction, unless you opt out sooner.
Client project data is retained for the duration of the engagement and a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping purposes.
Advertising platform data is managed according to the retention policies of Meta and Google respectively. I remove or refresh uploaded audience lists on a regular basis.
9. Your rights under POPIA
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to:
Access the personal information I hold about you.
Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
Request deletion of your personal information, subject to any legal obligations I may have to retain it.
Object to the processing of your information for direct marketing or targeted advertising.
Opt out of having your data uploaded to advertising platforms at any time.
Withdraw consent you've previously given for the processing of your information.
Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator if you believe your rights have been violated.
To exercise any of these rights, contact me at hello@rademanstudios.co.za. I'll respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with POPIA requirements. Where you request deletion or opt out of advertising, I will also remove your data from any active advertising platform audiences within 30 days.
10. Third-party links
This website may contain links to external websites that I don't control — including Meta, Google, and client websites. I'm not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. I'd encourage you to read their privacy policies before sharing any personal information.
11. Changes to this policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly as advertising practices or legal requirements evolve. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. Material changes affecting how your data is shared with advertising platforms will be communicated directly where possible.
